We called in on the off chance, and we were glad we did. We were in the middle of a walk and called in for a simple sandwich lunch. Sandwiches were delicious on very fresh bread. We had a BLT, a club sandwich, and vegetarian hummus and beetroot, all delicious. The chips were also homemade, which is always a bonus. There was a good choice of main meals and specials, so we will definitely call again, maybe for the Sunday lunch, which sounds good. Fresh, homemade food served with care and excellent value

Fish n chips Friday at the Pax in Thorpe Arch. Amazing. Well done, Claire. Fresh fish and proper hand-made chips, which are rare, Very welcoming with the log fire and twinkling lights... You must try this pub! It's a traditional pub with a modern interior and a very nice atmosphere.

Booked today for Sunday Lunch for four of us. Lovely family-run pup with a relaxed atmosphere. Very accommodating when we were ordering our meal. Lovely, hot, fresh, and tasty home-cooked food The stuffing was absolutely to die for! Homemade proper puddings were delicious; the apples in the crumble were from the owner’s mother’s garden, so we’re organic too! All staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend it and will definitely be back!

Wow! Our family Christmas gathering on Sunday was brilliant. Claire, Paul, and family couldn’t do enough for the 37 of us. The Christmas Carvery had more vegetable options than I had ever seen. Everything was hot and fresh. Home cooking at its best, and grandma’s Yorkshire puddings were the best. Highly recommended; we will return. Merry Christmas everyone. 🎄🎅🏻xx

I had an amazing lunch with my Family at the Pax. The food was amazing and the draught beer and Guinness were the best I have had in ages. Staff all friendly very cosy open fires through the pub. I highly recommend a visit to the Pax.

Beautiful, warm setting in a friendly, family-run pub. The menu was fantastic, and the pies are to die for. I highly recommend it for a hearty meal.

We were keen to try the newly reopened Pax Inn for a meal with friends, and I'm glad we did. The moules marinières to start were lovely and a generous portion. Followed by a delicious burger with all the trimmings and "dirty" fries with a masalla sauce, which were first rate. The ambience will be better when it's a bit busier, but I'm pleased we walked up from Boston Spa to try it out.
